Newly promoted Uganda Premier League side Kigezi HomeBoyz FC have confirmed the appointment of Joseph Harold Mutyaba as their new head coach on a two-year contract ahead of the 2026/27 season.
Mutyaba arrives with a wealth of coaching experience, having previously managed several clubs across Uganda and the region, including BUL FC, Soltilo Bright Stars, Onduparaka FC, Lweza FC, Masavu FC, Entebbe FC, Mutundwe Lions, and Zanzibar outfit Malindi SC.
The experienced tactician takes over from Sadiq Ssempigi, who guided Kigezi HomeBoyz FC popularly known as the Gorillas to a historic achievement by securing the club’s first-ever promotion to the Uganda Premier League.
His appointment signals the club’s ambition to establish itself in the top flight as preparations for their maiden Uganda Premier League campaign gather momentum. With vast experience at the highest level of Ugandan football, Mutyaba will be tasked with leading the Gorillas into a new chapter in their history and ensuring they remain competitive among the country's elite teams.
