Kigezi HomeBoyz Midfielder Osman Mayanja Hospitalised After Reported Thug Attack in Kabale

Newly signed Kigezi HomeBoyz FC midfielder Osman Mayanja is reportedly receiving medical treatment after being attacked by thugs in Kabale. The Uganda Premier League newcomers confirmed that the 16-year-old is currently receiving medical care at Feminova Hospital in Kabale following the incident. “Kigezi HomeBoyz FC wishes to inform our supporters that our player, Osman Mayanja, is currently receiving medical care at Feminova Hospital in Kabale,” the club stated. The club added that it remains in close contact with Mayanja and his family while praying for his quick and full recovery. Mayanja recently joined Kigezi HomeBoyz ahead of their historic debut campaign in the Uganda Premier League. The highly-rated young midfielder signed a two-year contract after making the move from Buganda Regional League side Masaka City FC. The teenager has also been featuring for Bugerere Ssaza FC in the ongoing 2026 Buganda Masaza Cup tournament. Kigezi HomeBoyz have pledged to provide further updates on Mayanja’s condition through their official communication channels as more confirmed information becomes available.
