KCCA FC produced a stunning late comeback to defeat UPDF FC 2-1 at Bombo Military Barracks and keep the Uganda Premier League title race alive for at least another matchday.
Trailing deep into the second half, KCCA struck twice in the closing moments to snatch all three points in dramatic fashion and deny Vipers SC an early championship celebration.

UPDF had looked set for a famous victory after Emmanuel Manu Ochen gave the hosts the lead with a well-taken header. Christopher Kamagu flicked on Joseph Janjali’s free-kick, allowing Ochen to nod home and send the home crowd into celebration.
KCCA, however, continued to push despite missing several chances earlier in the contest. Their persistence finally paid off in the 87th minute when Emmanuel Anyama rose highest to head in Herbert Achayi’s delivery and restore parity.
Just two minutes later, the visitors completed the turnaround. Goalkeeper Shamulan Kamya rushed off his line to deal with a high cross but failed to make proper contact, allowing Etienne Katenga to bundle the ball into an empty net for the decisive winner.

The dramatic victory moves KCCA to 58 points, just three behind league leaders Vipers with two matches remaining this season.
KCCA will next face URA FC before hosting Mbarara City FC on the final day, while Vipers travel to Maroons FC before concluding their campaign at home against Express FC.
