Uganda Cranes legend Tonny Mawejje has been appointed the new head coach of Muteesa I Royal University on a two-year contract, marking the former international midfielder’s latest step into coaching. Mawejje replaces George William Ssengabi, who left the university after guiding the side to its historic maiden University Football League (UFL) title. The appointment was officially confirmed by Muteesa I Royal University, which welcomed the former Cranes star in a statement shared on its X account. “Welcome Tonny Mawejje as our new Head Coach.
