“Buddu Reload: Kisuze Retained as Three-Time Champions Eye Masaza Redemption”

Buddu will be aiming for a strong comeback after a disappointing previous campaign that saw them exit at the group stage. Historically one of the tournament’s giants, Buddu boast three Masaza Cup titles (2016, 2021, and 2024) and will be eager to reclaim their status among the elite.

Buddu have reaffirmed their faith in Eric Kisuze, retaining him as head coach ahead of the 2026 Masaza Cup tournament scheduled for June.
Kisuze will be supported by a strong technical bench, with Sam Ssekitto and Gitta Simone named as his assistants. Magaasi Jamada takes on the role of goalkeeping coach, while Agaba Patrick Agapiso will oversee the team’s fitness preparations.
Speaking after his reappointment, Kisuze expressed confidence and determination to guide Buddu back to the top.
“We’re going to work tirelessly to lift Buddu again, working closely with the committee and with full support from our fans. Together with my team, we are ready for the responsibility ahead.”

The announcement was made on Tuesday by Pokino Jude Muleke, who also unveiled the new management committee set to steer the team through the upcoming campaign. Joseph Lutaaya will lead the committee, deputized by Sarah Kagolo and Muwonge Brian.

Zziwa Stephen has been retained as team manager, while Hon. Kyeyune Haruna Kasolo has been appointed team patron. Bro. Dr. Augustine Mugabo and Mukwenda Godfrey Mbalire have also been added to the management setup.
